A parcel of P. and 0. deferred stock changed hands this morning at £403, the market closing with a further seller at that price, buyers offering £397. Tho London price of this stock is £445. Waihis were wanted at 39s 44, but sellers ask*>d 40s 6d. Buyers of Grand Junctions have, eased to 13? 4d, sellers remaining at 14s. Mount Lyells were inquired for at 31s 4d, sellers asking 52?. In the investment market National Banks continue to have inquiry at 1265, without sellers. Bank of New Zealand f£3 Gs 8d paid) were wanted at £l3 4? 6d. without attracting a seller. Huddnri-Parker (ord.j remain firm at last week's closing quotation. New Zealand Drags were in strong demand at 53s 6d, sellers asking 54s 3d. Sale.—P. and 0. deferred stock. £4OO.
