FOOTBALL

PLAYING REVISED RULES.

FURTHER INQUIRY DEMANDED,

[Peb United Pekss Association.]

WELLINGTON, September 24.

The New Zealand Union are not satisfied with the inquiry held by the Wellington Union into the circumstances of the match with Auckland, contending that tho inquiry did not go deep enough. A resolution was passed calling on the local union to complete tho inquiry, and requesting the Auckland Union also to go into the matter.

A letter from the Wellington Union asking why no exception was taken to playing under the amended rules while two of the present members of the New Zealand Union were Auckland representatives on it gave considerable umbrage, aa it was alleged the inference was that these two had been dropped by tho Auckland Union, for which they were delegates, and in consequence had taken their present stand. This they denied. Tho letter was merely received.
