Murray, who served as selector with satisfaction during the past season, and who is about to leave for Oamaru. Mr- Chas. Speight- (president) expressed the members' appreciation of the services Mr Murray had rendered to the club, and wished him success in his new position. He also handed over a gold-mounted fountain pen as a memento of the esteem in which the departing member was held. A musical programme w;ia gone through, Mr A. l'a.cey acting as accompanist. The evening was spent very pleasantly, Mr J. M'Reak (secretary) and others looking carefully after the wants of all present. The bowlers of New South Wales have subscribed between £29,000 and £30,000 to the war funds.
