THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE. The conference of the New Zealand Labor party, sitting at Wellington yesterday, adopted the scheme of organisation submitted by a special committee. It provides that th© several Labor Representation Com--mitees be given organising jurisdiction, over certain electorates, and that a National Organising Committee bo set np, to consist of the national president, national sec rotary, and the Labor members of Parliament" The National Executive shall compile and issue to- tho Labor Representation Committees and branches literature bearing upon Labor's principles. Tho following Auckland remit was adopted:— Tho Labor Representation Committee shall be tho local governing body, subject to the. veto of tho National Executive, in which case it shall have the right of appeal to the annual conference. It" shall bo the duty of tho Labor Representation Committee to control all organising work coming within its jurisdiction, and tho nomination and selection of all candidates for olection fo public bodies. It shall bo the duty of the committee (within their own jurisdiction) to decide as to which electorate or public bodies shall be contested in the interests of Labor, and to take full charge of the nominations and selections of all candidates for such positions.
