Kev. H. H. Barton adopted the suggestion, and moved—'"That the Presbytery' rordially commend the movement to the various congregations within the bounds, and urge Sessions to liberate their ministers and home missionaries as far as possible, and aa it may be necessary, in order to help in the campaign, and to render
such other assistance as they may be able." Rev. John Miller seconded this motion. liev. J. Ililpatrick said that though ho did not believe in compensation, he was perfectly prepared to support the proposal now made, so as to stop the possibility of giving the drink four years in which to destroy 50.C09 of our fine lads. liev. G. M'Donald thought that if ministers were doing the work they ought to be doing, there was no need to set them free. Rev. B. Evan Davies replied that if a man gave his whole time to the campaign his regular work might be neglected. They might arrange for an exchange of pulpits, to enable ministers to be set tree.
