BURNSIDE STOCK SALES

Tliis Day, Tho feature of to-day's sale was tho largo yarding of both fat and store cattle. Among the former were a number of peas of (mo-quality cattle. Sheep.—An average yarding, numbering 2,149. Fioer.mg buyers wore operating cautiously, and medium class were difficult to dispose of at late rates. Extra prim© wethers made up to 46s _3d; prime from 40s 6-d to 435; medium from 35s to 58s ; lighter kinds from 24s upwards. Extra prime ewes made up to 43s 6d ; prime from 38s to 41s 9d ; medium from 3&s to 36s 6d ; light .and aged from 25s to 2 ds. Tat Lambs. —A large yarding numbering 1,033. The yarding on tho whole was of a medium quality. Freezing buyers and graziers were operating, arid last week’s prices were fully maintained. Extra, prime lambs made from 54s 8d up to 365; prime from 29s to 32s ; medium from 25s to 27s 6d ; lighter kinds from 22a to 24s 6d. Fat Cattle.—A huge yarding, the total number penned being 219. The sale was Into in starting, and tho opening rates were about on a par with last week's sale. On .account of the largo yarding it was expected that prices would ho a little easier. Prime bullocks sold from £lB up to £2O ICs; medium from £1.6 10-3 to £18; lighter kinds from £l4 ICh upwards. Heifers were sold at prices nominally on a par with last week's rates. Store Cattle.—A largo yarding of medium quality. Prices were a little enrier, and a dragging sale resulted. Pigs.—-A small yarding, and the quality was not up to last week's standard. There wan a keen demand, and all were sold at prices about equal to late rates. Best porkers realised up to B|cl per lb, and best haconors from Sjd to per lb.
