In the House of Oommonß to-day Mr Bomrr Law said that the Government were informed that the measures being token in Ireland were having the desired result. Tho deliberations .of the Irish Convention, added the Minister, had not yet ended. The report of the Irish Convention may be issued next week, together with the Government's proposals for a settlement. Sir Edward Carson has been re-elected chairman of the Irish Unionist party. (Received March 7, at 9.55 a.m.) It •is reported that the £5,500 which was stolen from a bank manager at Enni&tyißon., County Clare, has- boon restored, with a note stating that no robbery was intended, the money having been taken merely to prevent its use at the fair to buy cattle which were to be exported. RIOTING AT LIMERICK. LONDON, March 6. (Received March 7, at noon,) •• Rioting has been renewed in Limerick, and several soldiers, police, and civilians have been injured, the disturbances leading to baton charges. General Buraet is expected at Limerick to-night. ;
