. HOKITIKA. March 6. An important- business deal was completed yesterday, the business of Messrs Malfroy and Co., timber merchants. bein<* purchased by Sydney and Auckland busfncss men. The substantial figure paid as purchase money covers the" well-known Three-mile Mill, with larse timber areas (freehold and Crown lands). The firm of Mes-sir, Stuart, and Chapman, sawmillers. has changed hands also, and has been converted into a limited liability company. The areas affected include a mill and an area at Rimu and large timber areas south of tho Mikonui River, over which the firm, assisted by the. county council, aro erecting a traffic bridge.
