UNION FOOTBALL CLUB
The 46th annual report of the Union Football Club contains the following items of interest:— Teams were entered for tho A, B, and C competitions. The committee regret that the A team were not nearly so .successful as they might have been. The age limit and lack of keenness were the main reasons. The B grade team did really well, finishing the season as runners-. up. The C team, mainly composed of boys who were playing their first season in club football, showed considerable improvement during the season. In all 40 matches were played, of which 16 were won, 22 were lost, and two were drawn. The committee regret that the players as a whole showed* a lamentable lack' of enfor training. Many matches were lost during the season, not because our players were not good enough, but because they were not trained' enough. The committee expect considerable improvement this season. Tho committee have pleasure in announcing that, after meeting all liabilities, the club have a fair credit balance with which to commence the season's operations. The following members have been killed in action :—R. Harris, J. Mackenzie, E. M'Lennan, J. M'Ahan. A. Burns, G. Henderson. P. Devine, G. Strack, J. Armstrong, D. Aitken, H. Fogarty, R. Goven, W. M'Lennan, J MTntosh. W. Smith, J. A. B. Williams, and W. Malcolm.
