Of the staff General Haig, General Pulfeaey, and General B&wlinson remain on the front, Lord French and Generals Murray Mn.crc«dy, and Robertson being- ia Wai- Office or homo command?. The cavalry commanders are all still on the front—Generals Be Lisle Gough, and Byng in the west and General Allenby in Palestine (at least until recently).

Of the commanders of the Seven Biviaions too ere dead. General Hamilton fell in October of that fatal year, and General Capper fell last year. General Lomax waa wounded but is still on the western front. General Monro, is in command in India, Generals Snow, Ferguson, and Koir are afa on the western front.
