A P.A. message from Hawcra states: A motor accident occurred List on tlie Manaia road, when a- vo'ung mar. named Bram, of Kapuni, who* was° riding" a. motor cycle, collided with a motor car. The bicycle was smashed' to bits, and the motor car was badly damaged. Bunn, whose leg was badly fractured, was removed to the Hawera Hospital. Rule Smith, 18 years of age, was killed at Weber (near Dannevirke) yesterday through horses bolting. The deceased was employed as a teamster by the local council. His parents reside at 19 Lawson street Koslyn. Arthur Walden Allan, aged 15 years, was drowned in the Woolston baths (Christ' I church) last evening. I A four-year-old child named Marjorie Helen Buxton, residing at Shirley (Christchurch), died from the result of scalds.
