STUDENTS AT THE FRONT
At yesterdays meeting of the Otago University Council the following resolutions wore earned, on the motion of Dr Be-i ham: That _ the hearty- congratulations <,f the University Council be conveyed to tne ioilowmg former students on their receiving the Military Cross for comageous conduct and distinguished service *t the front: Captn-in \\m. Gillies BurM« M MQi4 I9 J. I) ' Connor, M.B. (191o), Captain Malcolm M Watt and Captain Thcs. Wyville Rutherford! In the case of the late Captain Cyril Henry Molloy, upon whom this decoration was conferred posthumously (he being killed in action), it was resolved to forward a- resolution of sympathy to the nest of kin. That the council heartily congratulate Professor Park on the excellent work performed by his son, as evidenced by the honors gained by him, and by his rapid promotion in the air service. (Flight-commander K. R. Park. M.C., received the M.C. on September 3. 1917' while still a lieutenant; a bar to the cross in October,. when he received his captaincy; and was promoted Uightcommandei' in November).
