LONDON AIR RAIDS.
THREE SUCCESSIVE NIGHTS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association and Heuter. LONDON, February 19. The Press Bureau reports: Hostile aircraft crossed the Essex coast at 9 o'clock on Monday night, and proceeded to London, but failed to penetrate the defence. No damage was done and no casualties have been reported. Thrilling duels. occurred last night with the air raiders in the Thames district. The raiders, on arriving, found the sky full of bursting shells. London residents were surprised at hearing no bombs, only shrapnel bursts from the defensive barrage. Eeuter's Telegrams. LONDON, February 19. Aeroplanes are raiding London for the third night in succession.
