FILLING THE GAPS. [Special to thi« ■ Stau. '] WELLINGTON, February 18. The term of the Hon. Benjamin Harris Auckland, as a Legislative Councillor expired this month. The Government decided to reappoint him. Other appointments to the Council are pending. Over 50 new applicants have come forward this year, or have had their . names submitted by friends.
