Iho Grand Priory, of ■ the Order of tho Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem in England arranged a solemn service of thanksgiving for the deliverance of Jerusalem from the hands of the Turk after a period of 673 years. The service v/as held on January 11 at the Grand Priory Church of the Order, St., John's square' Clerkenwell, London. Tho Duke of Connaught, Grand Prior, was present, and the sermon was preached bv the Arch*- J r 1 »«a of York, Prelate of the Order.
