The collier Kamona came out of dork at Port Chalmers to-day and berthed at the wharf to complete her annual overhaul. Tho collier Kakapo was doekwl. this afternoon for cleaning and painting in conneotion with her periodical survey and overhaul. January 9. • The trade of the port of New Plymouth for the past year shows a marked ine'renss over 1916. The number of vessels waf 272, against 252, and the tonnage was 277,852, against 229,201. The import! were 78,390 tons, against 73,896, and the exports 17,930, against 16,211. Six Home liners took away 3,137 tons of produce.
