Webb, M.P., notwithstanding his re-election unopposed by the electorate of Grey, ia oeriaanly liable for military service, and was in fact a soldier, granted leave till January, at the time of his re-election. No member of Parliament of military age is essem.pt from military service. There is legislation on the Statute Book maintaining this full status of- a soldier legislator; that is to say, he draws two pays, as a soldier and as a member.
