AMUSEMENTS
BOWLERS' CONCERT. In connection with tho big Dominion bowling tournamont that starts in this City next Thursday, the programme provides for two public entertainments in aid of the bowlers' patriotic fund. The first of these, in the shape of a grand concert, will be held next Monday night in His Majesty's Theatre, and the programme is of unusual attractiveness. In their customary generous style several of Dunedin's best performers will take part, as will be seen when such names are given as Mrs Power, Miss A. Mills, Miss Vera White, Messrs J. Leech, Bryant, S. H. Osbom, and J. Deaker. Then, too, a choir of bowlers, 50 strong, will help. These singers have been carefully trained under the baton of Mr A.Rawlinson, with Mr Jesse Timson as' pianist, who is highly pleased with the result of his labors. - It is safe to say that the choir's contributions will be thoroughly enjoyed. Assistance will be given by Flint's orchestra, and altogether an entertainment of unusual interest is The full programme and other details will be advertised later on.
