GOIJIiD.—On October 4, 1917 (died from wounds somewhere in France), Lance-corporal [Arthur Robert Gould (6th Reinforcements, Otago Mounted Riflee), youngest son of Mrs E. .Gould and only brother of Albert B. Gould, of 16 Fea street, Dalmore, Dunedin; aged 33 years. PILKINGTON.-Killed in action in Franc* on September 26th, Private F. Filkingto» (Australian Imperial Forces), yotmsrest son of the late Peter Pilkingto'n, Maori Hill. HOUGHTON.-On October 4th (killed in action hi France), Henry Pryoe Houghton, dearly loved elder son of the late E P Houghton; COWIB.-On October sth, 1917 (died.from pounds received -whilst in action), Corporal Bertie Shiel Cowio <23rd Reinforcements) younger son of Mrs M. Cowio, Dunedin; ngea 23 years.
