GRANGE CRICKET CLUB
In presenting the 40th annual report and balance-sheet, the committee make reference to the sad death of one of their esteemed vice-presidents (Mr J. Gouiiey), who was connected with the club for several years, and was much esteemed by the members. The committee congratulate the members on the positions occupied by the various teams. The first and third grade teams each won their competitions, whilst the second grade acted as runners-up in their competition. The financial position is not so good as it should be, and the committee ask the members to see that their subscriptions are paid promptly. In the first grade team the batting averages were gained by W. Malcolm (39-90), J. M'Muliau (01-33), and A. Galland (29). The bowling averages were obtained by B. Eckhoff (8-40), W. Henderson (8-SS), and A. Downes (9-86). In the second grade team the best batting averages ■ were by 11. Wright (44), I. Grant (23-19), and K. M'Keitch f23-20). The bowling averages were gained by (G. Crosbie (6), H. Wright (6-50), and J. Grant (9-73). In the third frade team the • successful batsmen, were . Brown (32-3), F. MTlroy (17-2), and J. Pullar (18-1). The best bowlers were E. Fogarty (3-3), A. Sullivan (5-5), and H. Thomas (5-5). During the season a large number of members left with the various reinforcements,.
