SUGGESTED MISSION TO GREAT BRITAIN. [Seecial to the ' Star.*] CHRISTCHURCH, September 14. Tho ' Press' says: We understand that Dr Truby King does not wish to be the gainer of a penny by changing the scene of his activities, and asked to name his own salary. All he will suggest should he be granted permission to go to England, is that tho Nbw Zealand Government be reimbursed 'his salary for tho 15 months of his absence, so that thoy may lmvo tho wherewithal to pay a locum tonens at Seacliff. Should Dr King go to England we understand that ho is assured of tho services, on tho completion of her military duties, of Nurse Pfltferick, who lately resigned tho matronship of the Ka-ritano-Harris Hospital in order to take up war nursing,. and in this direction New Zealand Would bo most capably represented. W© hopo to hear soon that the wliole matter is arranged for. No-w Zealand has hero an opportunity to render the Empiro some service.
