•VERY GOOD EDDIE.' To-morrow evening, at His Majesty'* Theatre, Messrs J. and N. Tait's NewMusical Comedy Company will commence a season of four nights with the latest musical comedy success, ' Very Good Eddie.' As Eddie Kettle, Barry Lupino is said to present an exceedingly clever study, and the part allows of ample scope for his talents as comedian and dancer. Miss Fayette Perry will make her initial bow to a Dunedin audience in the role of Elsie Darling. Miss Lilian Tucker, another newcomer, is credited with giving a dainty performance as Elsie Lily. Andrew Higginson, an old favorite, as Dick Rivers, has a most congenial role. As Al. Cleveland Mr John Beck (a prominent character actor from America) is said to pat across the footlights some delightful -comedy in a quaint style. Miss Nan Taylor as Madame Matroppo, Miss Daisy Revette as Victoria Lake, Emilv Fitzroy as Georgian. Kettle, Alfred Bristow as Mons. De Rougemont, Frank Greene as Percy Darling, Fred Monument as the Purser on the Catskill, and Charles Pope as the Steward complete a strong cast of principals. The musical numbers that have found most favor are ' Nodding Boses,' ' When You Wear a Thirteen Collar,' ' I Wish I Had a Million,' 'lsn't It Great to be Married?' 'Old Boy Neutral.' 'lf I Find the Girl,' ' On the Bench at Le Li Wei,' and the duet 'Babes in the Wood.' With, a bevy of beauty girls and chorus, it is said, 'Very Good "Eddie' provides many beautiful stage pietuies and striking ballets, while the costuming leaves nothing to be desired. The entire production is staged by Mr Barry Lupino. and a feature is a gpeciaHyEclectcd orchestra, under the musical direction of Mr Robert Keers. Box plans of reserved seats now on view at The BristoL EMPIRE THEATRE. The charming little photo play 'Seventeen ' is drawing good houses at the Empire. Miss Louise Huff and Mr Jack Pickford are the principals, and their acting is particularly good. A fine " travelogue," showing scenes on the Panama Canal route, is a feature of the programme. The Mary Pickford special, 'Lees Thaa the Dust,' commences on Friday. ORPHANS' CLUB. Bro. H. F. Noes presided at the fortnightly meeting of the Dunedin Orphans' Club last night, when a very enjoyable programme was submitted. The following contributed items:—Bros. A. S. Cootson, N. M. French, C.
