BRITISH ADVANCE TOWARDS POELCAPPELLE. High. Commissioner's Cable. LONDON, August 28Sir Douglas Haig reports: As the reinlti of our attack yesterday ■we advanced. after heavy fighting, on a front' of 2,000 yards, astride the St. load*, establishing ourselves in further portions of the German third system of defence in this aiea. [The road mentioned runs north-east from Ypres, joining- the PoperingheBonlexs road at Poelcappelle. A cross-" road, running north-west and south-east from Zonnebeke to Langemarck, intersects the St. Jnlien-Poelcappelle road at Kexsellaere.]
