Tho above society's animal festival will commence in the Burns Hall to-morrow morning, when the ladies' recitation, ' Chiribel's Prayer,' and the piano duet, ' Valse Briliian' will be taken. A very attractive programme will bo submitted to-morrow afternoon, when the vocal solo (ladies), the lass solo (' Open Thy Gate'), and tho girls' humorous recitation will be heard. In the evening the official opening will take place at 8 o'clock, and ;i very attractive programme will bo submitted, including the recalls from the day sessions, the gentlemen's recitation ' Battle of Albuera,' and the vocal eolo (gentlemen, operatic air). Wo are sure that tho public, realising tno splendid work tho society have done in encouraging the young people to study elocution, pianoforte, and singing, will accord liberal patronago to this vear'a festival. The prices of admission nave been fixed at 6d to the day sessions and Is to .any part of the house iu the ■evening, so it is a very cheap entertainment. Session tickets admitting two to all sessions can ho luid for £1 Is. Mr Harold Grcgson (Auckland) will judge tho musical sections, and Mr J. F. Montague (.Auckland) the elocution sections.
