The adjourned meeting of the Wellington Licensing Committee was held yesterday, when the licenses of several hotels which had been adjourned for repairs' to be made were granted. In the matter of the Grand -Hotel, counsel fpr the licensee stated that a bookstall in the vestibule to which objection had been taken had been closed up. The license was granted. In regard to the New Zealander Hotel, the police objected to the license being granted.
