Australian and N.Z. Cable Association and* Reuter. LONDON, April 13. (Received April 14. at 1.15 p.m.) A French communique states: We attacked tliis morning German positions south of St. Quentin. Despite tho enemy’s desperate resistance, we carried several lines of trenches between the Somme and the La Fere-St. Quentin road. Our advanced elements progressed south of tho Aisno and eastward of Coucy-la-Yille. We captured prisoners and material during the artillery struggle in tho Aisne and Champagne, Two enemy' ooups-de-main in the V erdun region failed under our fire.
