A Iriplo Charge.—Edward Svdney Bailey Tearii pleaded guilty to charge,s of drunkenness, obtaining liquor during the currency of a. prohibition order, and resisting Constable Macartney while in the execution of his duty at M nnt ington yesterday afternoon.—On the first charge'dofendent was convicted and orderod to pav the amount of cab, hire (7s 6di ; in the charg-ry of obtaining liquor he was fined 20s. with, tho alternative of 48 hours’ imprisonment, while on the charge of resisting a. fino of 10s was inflicted, with the alternative of 24 hours’ imprisonment.
