BOARDING-HOUSE FIRE
[Per United Press Association.] . PAHIATUA, January 50. Bronton s boarding-house at Pongaroa, consisting of 25 rooms, was destroyed by fire shortly after midnight. The fire is behoved to have, originated in the kitchen. There were a. good number of boarders in the house. The proprietress- was absent pt Pahiatua. Tlio insurances, including that on the billiard room, which was Siiied, to-.al £575. Tho loss is heavy.
