As to the course, it was admitted on all hands to be in splen' did condition, and, as the report mentioned, the clubs thanks were due to Mr and Mrs Baugnan for their interest in the welfare of die club generally, as well as to the Greens, House, and Match Committees. Mr J. Drake, iu seconding the adoption of «he report referred to the splendid record ot 39 members enlisting out of a membership of about 100, and suggested an active canvass for new members to make up the depletion thus caused in the membership roll. He also suggested to the incoming committee the need for the encouragement ot young members by the more expert players, preferably by the reduction in the number of matches and the temporary abolition ot the distinction between senior and iunior players.

The report having been adbptecl, the following office-bearers -were elected President, Mr T. K. Sidey, M.P.; vicepresidents, Messrs J. 0. Marshall and A. L Isaacs; captain; Mr J. Drake; deputy captain, Mr H. Sincock; committee—Messrs W. DM'Carthy, B. R. Stock, E. J. Hocking, J. Lethbndge, and E. Wilson; hou. auditor, Mr F. T. Anderson.

Mr Lethbridge gave notice of motion for next annual meeting in the direction of abolishing the locker fee as & separate payment, and increasing the amount of the annual subscription by the present amount of that fee.

The meeting authorised a sub-committee to arrange for the placing of a roll of honor board in the clubhouse, inscribed with the names of those members who have enlisted or who may yet enlist. On the conclusion of the business an appeal for contributions for small comforts for St. Clair golfers at the front met with a ready response.
