OTAGO BEAT SOUTHLAND.
The eecond fifteens of the Southland and Otago High Schools played, their annual match this morning- on "the Bishonscourt Ground, which, despite the heavy rain, that had fallen, was in good condition. _ Tho match, -which was played in two half-hottx spells, provided some interesting play, the Southland boys being strong forward, while the Otago lads had tho advaiitagqfciu the back-liners, who were far too fast for their opponents. The Otago half-back (Lewis) was especially conspicuous. At half-time the score stood at 11 to nil in favor of the local boys, the scorers being M'Bae, Eva-, and Davis, Wheeler converting M'Eae's try. In the second epell the Otago lads kept up the pressure, and had the visitors well beaten. Sin*, Murray, and Cameron added tries, Anderson converting Sim's, and the game endetL I Otago High School 22 Southland. High. School 0 I Mx L. Oamsron was referee.
