AKD 'THE JANITOR'S WIFE\S TEMPTATIONS.'

Charity Ann, afterwards known as Miss Charity, and her father, are- practically beggars. Their only means of getting a living is by violin playing. One day an artist sees Ann and her father, and takes them homo to be models. Tho second time they' go to Ms studio he makes love to Ann, and she and her father go away. When the father dies Ann is taken in. hand by a lady, who takes her to have music lessons. She does very well, and her teacher proposes to her, but she rejects him. Home . years previously Ann has met an artist, a Mr Trevor, and lie invited Ann to come to an "at home" and hear Miss Charity, a talented player. Ann asked -him to see her to her lodgings, and there explains who she is and gives a life history of herself, keeping Trevor in the room part of the time with the persuasive aid of a, revolver. Finally he tries to take the revolver from her, and it (joes off, hitting him and making him blind. Such is the plot of the picture which will be the centre of attraction at the New Queen's Theatre on Monday next, and in which Elizabeth Ilisden, who played the principal part in tho 'Christian' stars. The other item on the bill is a comic effect, entitled ' The Janitor's Wife's Temptations,' and featuring Fred Mace. Several other excellent supports will be shown.
