WELLINGTON'S MILK SUPPLY
[Special to the ' Star.'] WELLINGTON, August 19. The Board of Trade, after investigating Wellington's milk supply, made a useful, brit rather belated, discovery. An overcharge has been made for what the Board might fairly have called an inferior article. A report to this effect was forwarded to the, Mayor bv Mr Massey, as president of the board. "What the next step will be remains to lie seen. Neither the board nor the municipality appear to have any easy or effective niethod of applying compulsion to the large number of scattered retail suppliers, many of whom are h.ilf disposed already to send their milk to tho factories raid let the city babies go thirsty. The discussion of this matter in Wellington follows a weary circle.
