BERLIN COMMUNIQUE.
SOMME AGAIN ACTIVE. LONDON. August 17. (Received August 18, at noon.) A German communique, states: After .strong English attacks in. the region of Ovillem, Tozieres, and to the vest of Fouroaux Wood were repulsed, the French attacked between Gullemont and the Sonime, and were also repulsed. Portions of the enemy penetrated west of Foureanx Wood and south of Maurepas, lint were driven out v.-ith heavy losses. The French obtained a. foothold In our first line for a distance of 500 metres ot Belloy. Enemy attacks on Chapitre Wood were (suppressed. Fierce Russian nk'ht attacks were repulsed west of Miaioez?. Enemy advances north of the Dniester proved fruitless. Tile Bulgarians drove"back the eueniv at Dolor.cle.
