SATURDAY'S PARADE.

SCHOOLS' POSITIONS DECIDED,

There is rid alteration in connection with the parade on Saturday. It will take place at S o'clock.

Twenty-seven schools trill be represented, and 15 school bands -mil- be in attendance. The foUowing positions will be taken up by the schools:— Octagon (west side). —Moray Place, Green Island, Mornington, Arthur Street, Kaikorai, Highcliff, Port. Chalmers (all with bands), St. Leonards, Ravensboume, Wakari. Mr Barrett, marshal. • On the slope opposite the OvaL—burgh, Forbury, and Macandrew Road (with bands), Concord, Anderson Bay, St. Clnir, Caversham, Kensington. Mr Eudey, marshal.

Princes and. Stafford streets.—High Street (with band), Mosgiel, Milton. Mr Smith, marshal. Hospital.—Albanv Street, Maori Hill. George Street, arid North-east Valley (with bands), Normal, Leith Valley. Most of the children will cany flags. The Mayor aeks that shops close at noon and that all business ana private places display bunting. Ivrerything points to a large influx of country visitors. The Milton school children are coming in. The Mayor has arranged, for 15 cases of fruit to be sent to the men at the Drill Hall daily, and other luxuries are being provided.

A portion, of the Octagon has been reserved for the boarders of secondary schools.

The Minister of Defence (Hon. Jas. Allen) and the Mayor (Mr J. J. Clark) visited the Drill Hall last evening.
