OTAGO CRICKET ASSOCIATION

The president .(Mr J. J. Clark) presided over a sparsely-attended meeting of the Otag; Cricket Association executive, hold last evening. The Secretary reported that the gate takings at the match Association v. League amounted to £4 6s and the expenses to 7s 6d. The balance goes to the coach fund.

ihe Grange Club wrote protesting against the Carisbrook? Club's win in the first grade match placed on March 18, on the ground that the Grange's ninth wicket had fallen a minute before time, and the mat ch should thus have been declared drawn.—From tho discussion which followed it was apparent that the umpires had not drawn the stumps at the fall of the wicket, but that Grange had desired to bat another man, who had taken no previous part iu the match, to replace a player who had left tho prise was expressed that a protest should bo entered in any case, considering the conditions existing this year, and it was resolved that the Grange Club be informed that the committee were content to accept the decision of the umpires controlling the game, and that in any case ■ the matter 1 was of small importance, in view
