Donald Beid and Co., Limited, report; Wo held our weekly auction sale of grain ami produce at our stores to-day, when values ruled as. under:—• Oats.—Consignments have not been offering quite siv freely during the last week, but shippers have* had little difficulty in fulfilling their requirements at laie "quotations. Owing to the uncertainty of securing shipping space, most of the' oats required has been drawn from lines in local stores. We quote : Prime milling, 2s 3d to 2s 4<l j good to best feed, 2.9 2d to 2s 3d; inferior to medium, Is lOd to 2s Id per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat.—Only prime to choice lots have any attention from millers. These, arc readily taken at lato values, but lower grades of milling quality aro not in request. I'ext whole, fowl wheat is offering more freely. We quote: Prime milling velvet, 5s to 5s Id; Tuscaai, etc.. 4s 7d to 4s 9d ; medium, 4s 4d to 4s 6d ; best whole, fowl wheat, 4s Id to 4s 5d ; medium, ~-s 9d to 4s; inferior, 3s to 3s 6d per bushel (sacks extra). Potatoes.-—The market has been poorly supplied lately, and nearly all consignments in prime, condition have been quitted at £6 10s to £7 per ton. We have now some inquiry for prime lots for shipment, and have made fair sales, in this direction. We quote: Best table potatoes, £6 10s to £6 15s; medium to good, £5 15s to £6 5s ; others, £5 to £5 10s per ton (sacks included). Chaff is coming forward freely, and the market is more heavily supplied. Tho demand is confined " for the moat part to prime, quality, but nil elasKs of chaff haw* suffered a. decided decline. Ltd., report as follows : ' Oats.—During tho past week there has been more disposition on the part of buyers to operate, owing to there being available, and late rates luivo been maintained. Farmers aro not ready sellers at below present quotations, and many lots aro coming into store. The demand is confined largely to A grade Cartons and sparrowbills, for which there has been a good inquiry at the following rates. Wheat.—Milling velvet is still meeting with a good demand, while Tuscan and red wheats aro not receiving the same attention. We quote: Choice tables, £6 10s to £6 15s; medium to good, £5 to £6 per ton (sacks in). Chaff.—Supplies have been coming; forward freely of late, and sales cannot be effected at last week's rates. Verv little old chaff is offering, the bulk of the consignments being confined to new season's, which is meeting with a fair demand at quotations.
