Tommy replied; “ Please, teacher, George got up early this morning and was chopping some wood for the fire; when he came acres* a piece he couldn't break he put it across the well and jumped on it, and, please, teacher, it broke • ” * Eider; “Why don’t you got a motor?” Waluer : “I don’t know whether I could manage one or not.” Rider: “That’s not much of an argument. lon took me >;uno chance, eltdn t you, when you acquired i vife ? ” ‘Walker: “Yes:" that's what makes mo so jolly careful! ”
