Dr Srannell, of Temuka, has received advice that Ids brother. Surgeon-captain cxs-nirell. who was in the 15th General Hospital. Alexandria, suffering from enteric, has sailed for England! Private Arthur J. Davies, New Zealand Aledical Corps (reported to have died of dysentery at Mudros), was a- son of Air George Davies, at one time seidor partner of the (-hristchurch firm of Davies and Lamb. Private Davies was born in Chrlstchurcn in 1885. and was educated at the Normal ("school. He served Justime in the engineering profession at Afessrs P. and T). Duncans, and subsequently went to sea. Lately he was fanning with his lather at Whrimate and Hamilton. He enlisted with tho 3rd Reinforcements. Lieutenant L. AL Hutton (reported slightly wounded, and admitted to hospital in Loudon, in Wednesday's Australian casualty list) is a. brother*' of Airs J. C N. Grigg, Longbeach, and of Airs Af. Richof Eiffelton. He was formerly manager of Air John hhudholme's estate at Coldstream. Hinds. Corporal Percy John Kellv (Cant-orbury Battalion, died of pneumonia) was 3& years of at re - He was irorn iff Christchurch, and was educated at St. Albans. Corporal Kellys wife (bed in Wellington three months ago from heart failure, leaving two children. Corporal Kelly, who was a member of the Ist Reinforcements, was posted to 12th (Nelsonl Company of the Canterbury Infantry Battalion. 'He was a keen devotee of football anti swimming, and was noted for hi? fine physique. Corporal Kelly was wounded in the lung late in August and pneumonia supervened, causing his death. Sergeant-major J. W. Langrklge (Canterbury Battalion, wounded) was born and educated in Wanganui, where his parents still reside. On leaving school he joined the firm of Tiiain and Co., ironmongers, and remained with them until six or seven year? ago, when he accepted a position with Messrs Mason. Sirutbere. and Co., of Christehmxh. He was “on the road” in Nopth Canterbury for tiro firm for some time, and then joined the wholesale staff, leaving on enlisting with the Main Expeditionary Force. _ Both in, Wanganui .and Christchurch he is well known in rowing and football circles. He played a- few games for (he Christchurch Football Chib's srrioi- team, ond has repreee.nted the Canterbury Rowing Club at several regatta?. Sergeant Langridge, who had a brother killed in action quite recently, holds the Royal Humane Society's .silver medal for bravery in attempting to save life. He wan 7u-eyioiisly slightly wounded early in August.
