WHY? Miss Bassett was talking to the class in history in her most impressive manner. "Now, children," she said, looking over her pupils. "Very well," said teacher; "we will begin today with James the First, who came after Jilizabeth. A scholar raised ius hand "Well?" queried Miss Bassett. graciously, ''what is it?" "What made him come after her?" asked the scholar, eagerly.
