La the Southern Police Gourt, at Dublin, John Dunne, a plasterer, and his wife were sent for trial on a charge ot murdering Catherine Byrne, It was alleged- that the aocused took Byrne into their room to "tell their fortunes," and that she was subsequently round dead outside- the door, with wounds on the head and face. Both prisoners pleaded not guilty. Two live toads were found in a piece or rock which a workman split open S?"Jf t?^ n S at Cotwall End, South Staffordshire.
