ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
FATAL MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT. A Christchurch. message states that a motor car accident in .the Ashley riverbed a,t Rangiora on Saturday evening resulted in the death of Leonard Stackhouse, 27, the youngest son of Mr J. Stackhouse, of Mount Brown Station, near Amberley. The car collided with a gig, and the shaft struck tho deceased In the stomach. He was removed to 'the. Christchurch Hospital, where lie died yesterday- after an operation.
