TO THE EDITOR. •Sir,—-Does it not. savor somewhat of the faith of the "Gnostics" and their dilution of abstract theories and fantastic myths about the spirit realm ? These heretics set a higher value on "knowledge" than education and faith. One cannot write fully to a secular newspaper on a sectarian mysticism without becoming involved in sectarian polemics, hence the brevity.—l am, etc., F.M. September 3.
