AMUSEMENTS

PRINCESS THEATRE. Madame Marion , whose undeniably clever quick-change work during a Yankee Press interview scene has delighted big audiences at the Princess Theatre each night this week, will make her final appearance tonight. The Newmans (comedy), Ed. Alton (hand balancer), BluSo (comedian), and other favorites will also appear for the last time. The chief attraction for Monday evening will be Orphea, who appears in a novelty musical turn. Other performers new to Dunedin will be Dorothy Harris (Ragtime Queen), and Eileen Fleury (the young English impersonator). The ’ Newmans and Bluffo will appear in new items. TIVOLI FOLLIES. The second performance of this talented combination of mirth provokers was given last night, when members of the company appeared to even better advantage than they did on the opening night. Rego, one of the leading comedians and an acrobat, _ who was unab.le to appear on the previous night owing to indisposition, made his appearance last night and met with a good reception, his association with Jack Cannot. Isabelle D’Armond, and Frank Greene in ‘ Bought, But Not Paid For ’ being specially good. Those who have so far patronised the performances of this initial venture of Mr Hugh D. MTntosh in this particular line of .business as far as New Zealand is concerned, are loud in their praise of what has been presented to them. A matinee held this afternoon was much appreciated. This evening the show will be repeated. CHRISTIAN CHOIR CONCERT. The Church of Christ (North-east Valley) choir gave a concert in aid of the wounded soldiers* fund on Wednesday evening. Mr Theo. Arnold presided, and a _ very acceptable programme was submitted by the choir, assisted by several leading artists. The Chairman said that he was glad to note that the programme was composed of both sacred and patriotic items, because in this war our boys were fighting for the canse of honor, truth, and righteousness, against that of dishonor, falsity, and barbaric murder.
