GRAND NATIONAL MEETING. TO-DAY’S RACES. The Grand National Meeting was being concluded in gloriously fine weather. There was a big .attendance of the public. The going is good. Results : Aylesbury Steeplechase, 2Cosovs. 2J>m. —Oratonu (9.7) 1, Grey Renown (12.3) 2, Rufus (11.6) 3. Dear Annie and Joneur were scratched. Grey Renown went to the front at once, and led the field for two miles. Rounding the top turn Oratonu joined the. leaders, and, outstaying" Grey Renown, won comfortably by a length, Rufus 60 yards away third. Fritz was the only other to finish. Time, smin 6 3-ssec. Heathcote Handicap, 350sovs. 7f.— Kaminohe (9.13) 1, Meltchikoff (9.8) 2, Slogan (9.8) 3. Scratched : Palisade and Encore. Kaminohe and Meltchikoff were early in the lead, and were never headed, the former winning by a head; Slogan a length away third. Time, Imin 28 3-ssec. Styx Hurdles, 200sovs. Once round and a distance.—Art (10.0) 1, Silvershield (9.0) 2, Lord Frederick (9.0) 3. Scratched : Tirohanga and Kingsway. Silvershield and Caher Davon made the early running, with Ait always handy. .Scrutineer ran to the front at seven furlongs, but Art joined him, and came away in the straight,-winning by three lengths; lord Frederick a length away third. Time, 3min 1 l-sseo.
