Moss, Ltd., fruit and produce auctioneers, report for the week ended to-day : Tasmanian apples : The first of this season’s arrived during the week, and the prices obtained would leave a very small margin of profit for the grower in Hobart. ■Consignments of mandarins, pineapples, and passions landed in much better condition than the previous week’s shipment. Cucumbers, hothouse grown, have come forward from the north, and have met with quick sales. Guaranteed stamped eggs, in crates, have been selling freely at Is Id per dozen. Pigs are in very short supply. Potatoes are easier m price, while onions are firmer. Cooking apples are wanted, as high as 2id being obtainable for Lord Wolseleys.
