Port Chalmers.— ■ This match, played at Carisbrook, was evenly contested, Port playing their best game this season. Southern won by a try (scored by Douglas) to nil. ■SECOND GRADE. High School Old Boys— The Caledonian Ground was the scene of the encounter between Northern and High School Old Boys on Saturday afternoon., The Northern boys secured a victory by 5 goals to 3, after a very hard and interesting game. Donald (2), Abernethy (2), and Hay scored for the winners, while Alien and Thomas (2) did likewise for the Old Boys. Mr R, Brown was referee. —Green Island v. Ravensbourno— This game was played at Gulling Park before about a dozen spectators. The game was late in starting, and Ravensbourno took .the field with eight men. Free kicks were numerous. After about half an hour’s play Hop well scored for Green Island, and M‘Allan scored the second goal a few minutes later. Just before halftime Green Island scored again from a scramble. 3-0. In the second spell Ravensboume played with 10 men, and a few minutes after the commencement Milburn scored for tho yellows. Green Island netted another 2 goals, and from this the game became slow and uninteresting. No further score resulted, and a friendly game ended Green Island 5, Ravcnebourne 1. —Mornington v. Southern.— The above teams met at Mornington. The ground was in excellent condition! Mornington won the toss, and played with the sun at their backs. During 'the first spell play was pretty, even.- Southern scored the first goal. Mornington immediately retaliated, and Logie equalised the scores. Mornington scored their second goal from a scramble, M'Faull being the scorer. Tho second spell became fast and exciting, but towards the end Mornington had all their own way, and netted 3 more goals. Tho game ended : , Mornington 5 goals, Southern. 1 goal. SECOND GRADE, High School Old Boys defaulted to Mornington. ■ Northern 2 goals beat Christian Brothers nil. THIRD GRADE. Present High School 2 goals beat Old Boys 1 goal. Northern 4 goals beat Mosgiel Rangers SCHOOL MATCHES. A Grade. —Normal 4 goals beat Mornington nil. C Grade.—Moray Place 2 goals beat Anderson Bay nil. High Street 4 goals beat St. Patrick 3 goals.
