A TRIBUTE
O dear and dainty lasses we toast daily in our glasses. We think to you and drink to yon, and live «nil light and die: We face the German masses, and the deadly German' gase.-, And, dear and dainty lasses, you are just the reason why. We meet the Tn'rco-Gormans, and we spend no time oil sermons; We let them know Now Zealand is assisting in the game. We think about our ladies, and we send the Turks to Hades. And just arid righteous victory for our fair land we claim. The great I'acilic Ocean, With its grand resistless motion, Dwells in our blood, sons of the South, 2sew; Zealanders are we : We fight for home and duty, for the home of southern beauty. Arid to keep the flag of freedom floating - o'er us ever free. 0 dear and dainty lapses we toast daily in i onr glasses. • We thank you for permission to go forth !■ to fight and die : Ev'ry man is at his station to win out for the nation.
