LADIES’ OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. The tournament for the Ladies’ Open Championship of Otago was advanced another stage this morning, when the number of competitors was reduced to four. The conditions were, as yesterday, somewhat unfavorable to good golt, a strong, keen wind blowing all the morning. Following are the results :—- Mrs Sargood beat Miss Roberts, 8 and 6. Miss Mill beat Mrs McCarthy, 4 and 2. Mrs Cook beat Miss Glendining, 4 and 2. Miss Thcomin beat Mrs .Murphy, oandl. Tin's afternoon a Bogey handicap match over IS holes is being played, while tomorrow morning the semi-final of the championship will be played off, the final taking place in the afternoon. In 'addition to the championship!, a flag competition will be played to-morrow morning, and a four-ball foursome in the afternoon.
