The. Roslyn Band of Hope opened their session on Friday, when between 60 and 70 members and friends were present. Mr Duncan Wright addressed the meeting, and gave some most instructive lessons to the bovs and girls, particularly warning them against the three great evils—intemperance, gambling, and impurity. The Rev Stanley Jenkm had hoped to be present but was prevented owing to illness. The*following contributed to an enjoyable programme Recitations, Misses B. Thomson N. White, Edna Forsyth, Nellie Cunningham, and Master lan Armour; solos, \liss Eva Dixon and Master Jas. Simpson. Miss E. Pellitt officiated at the organ.
