That was a chrome, leather hoot solidly made with jtails, and “ Ihrcp-rpiancr watertight’’ tongue, according to the New Zealand Government design and samples. Since then the "1915'' type of military boot approved for Ford Kitchener's army liar, been received in New Zealand, and the, new contract is based on it. The sample boot copies the Kitchener hoot in all respects, but the fact that, whereas the Kitchener boot has a **dnrox” leather solo, the New Zealand “1915" boot has a broader toe than the older model, and is an open front, goloshed boot, it is a ehapely-looking “ shooter," without toecap. and with a- high instep, and is a splendid fitter. The leu liter inside is perfectly free from projections. The reinforcements will receive these boots, and the same model will be served to the Territorials later on.
